Unlucky Friday

To cure British sailors of their silly, superstitious fead of Fridays, the British government laid the keel of a new ship on a Friday, launched her on a Friday, named her H.M.S. Friday, and sent her on her first voyage on a Friday. Neither the ship nor her crew was ever seen again.
